The City of Fullerton is kicking off its Nighttime Paid Parking Pilot Program in the Downtown on Thursday, July 18. The Pilot Program charges a $5 flat fee for new parkers arriving at or after 9pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights for nine lots and two structures in the heart of Downtown. Free parking on-street and in other parking structures a short walk away is offered as an alternative.
The 6-month Pilot Program is a way to evaluate technologies and techniques for revenue to support the long-term management of the City’s public parking facilities and general clean-up and enforcement of the downtown nightclub area which now costs the city $1.6 million per year over what the area brings in through business tax.
