The city of Fullerton presented a certificate of recognition to Isaac Morales, a senior at Sunnyhills High School, for his performance as an All-County Freeway League MVP for boys’ soccer. Morales showcased exceptional skill and dedication throughout the season, scoring an impressive 23 goals and providing eight assists. Under Morales’s leadership, the Lancers achieved an undefeated 10 and 0 record in league play.

“Your hard work, dedication, and passion for soccer have not gone unnoticed. Your achievements have inspired many, and we’re proud to have you represent our community,” said Councilmember and acting Mayor Bruce Whitaker at the city council meeting on April 16.

“On behalf of the City of Fullerton and all its residents and the City Council, we wish you the best in your future endeavors,” Whitaker said as he handed the certificate to Morales.

“I gotta say thank you to my parents for being unable to take me to every game, being able to take me to every practice, and being able to take me to school. I thank my coach for being a great coach. He showed us how to play great, how to be great, and how to work with our teammates,” Morales said, “We just had a great bond, and I think that’s what helped us most to achieve what we were able to achieve.”

“Everything he’s done for seniors over the last two seasons on and off the field, you can’t replace guys like this. Congratulations,” said Jordan Brinkley, head coach.
