Fatal Traffic Collision

Fullerton Police Officers responded to the area of N. Gilbert St. and Hughes Dr. on November 15, 2024, at approximately 1:39 am, regarding a single-vehicle traffic collision.

Upon arrival, officers located a white, 2014 Subaru Impreza with damage. Officers located the driver, an adult female, partially ejected from the vehicle just north of the intersection. Sadly, she was pronounced deceased on the scene by the Fullerton Fire Department. No other passengers were in the vehicle.

Initial investigation indicates that the Subaru was traveling northbound on Gilbert St. when, for an unknown reason, it veered into the southbound lanes. The Subaru struck a tree causing the vehicle to spin out into the roadway.

The identity of the driver will be released by the Orange County Coroner’s Office.

At this time, it is unknown whether drugs or alcohol played a factor in the cause of the collision.

This is an ongoing investigation, and the exact cause of the collision is still under investigation. Anyone with information about this collision is encouraged to contact Accident Investigator J.
