The Private Lesson School Offers Fullerton Young Musicians Prestigious Performance Opportunities

The Private Lesson School is making notable strides in music education for young musicians across Southern California. By providing students with the chance to perform at esteemed venues, such as the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse, a historic 1,400-seat theater, the school is offering unique experiences that aim to enhance music education.

The school hosted a recital featuring the Corona Youth Symphony as the opening act on January 2, 2025. Students of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced musicians, took to the stage to showcase their talents in a setting typically reserved for professional performers.

Founder Goran Ivanov highlighted the significance of these performances in building confidence among young musicians. “I believe in allowing students to experience what being a star on the stage is like, without the pressure of being perfect or being judged for how well they perform,” he noted. He emphasized that performing in prestigious venues helps students recognize the results of their dedication and hard work.

The recital also served to strengthen the sense of community among families and local supporters, with many parents expressing appreciation for the opportunity to see their children perform in a notable venue, a rare occurrence for youth ensembles.

The Private Lesson School caters to students from various areas, including Fullerton, Eastvale, Corona, Chino Hills, and Alhambra. The school offers a comprehensive music education program that extends beyond standard private lessons. Through events like the recent recital, the school aims to encourage young musicians to pursue their aspirations in music.

“This isn’t just about taking lessons,” Ivanov explained. “It’s about showing students that they, too, can feel like stars, performing on big stages just like their favorite artists. It helps them see that what they are doing now can lead to becoming the idols and role models who inspire them.”

Ivanov contrasted these performances with traditional competitions, which often focus solely on skill assessment. He described the school’s approach as celebrating each student’s growth, both as individuals and as artists.

With over eight years of experience and a growing reputation in music education, The Private Lesson School is positioning itself as a key player in the region’s music instruction landscape. By offering opportunities that extend beyond the classroom, the school is contributing to the development of young musicians in the community.
