OC Rapid Response Network is Tracking ICE

Actions by Immigration Customs Enforcement in arresting and detaining people have increased since Trump took office with the promise to deport millions of undocumented immigrants. It has been reported that a couple thousand people have been arrested or detained nationwide so far and recently two ICE arrests were reported in Fullerton.

According to the April 2024 Office of Homeland Security Statistics report, there are 28,840,000 legal immigrants living in the US and about 11 million undocumented immigrants (3.3% of the US population).

The Orange County Rapid Response Network is one of many similar nonprofit organizations across the country set up to respond to immigration enforcement activities and policies and to make sure no more ICE raids are conducted in the dark. The legal observation can help stop detention, deportation, family separation, and can help in the case someone is detained.

Working with partners the network defends the rights of immigrants by documenting immigration raids, exposing unlawful tactics used by ICE, informing the public about their rights, connecting affected people with attorneys, and other resources, offering educational events, and supporting local policies that defend immigrant rights,

OCRRN’s Defense Committee includes the ACLU, Public Law Center, Resilience OC, and UCI School of Law.

To report a confrontation or ICE sighting call the OCRRN Hotline at 714-881-1558.
