Dear Neighbor,
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), which helps communities by providing crucial support to low- and moderate-income working individuals and families, stimulating local economies, and improving the well-being of families and children. The IRS estimates that one in four eligible workers doesn’t claim their earned EITC. This leaves billions of dollars on the table each year. It is a refundable credit, meaning that even if it reduces your tax liability to zero, you could still receive a refund for the remaining amount.
My office is hosting an event for you to learn more about the EITC and connect you with available community legal resources and free tax preparation services.
Registration is required, so use the QR code on the flier below to reserve your spot. If you have any questions about this event, please don’t hesitate to reach out to my Santa Ana office at (714) 559-6190.
As always, I am committed to serving you, advocating for issues that matter to our community, and connecting you to important resources. If you are experiencing any issues with a federal agency, my office is here to help. Give us a call at (714) 559-6190.
Sincerely, Rep. Lou Correa, Member of Congress
