City Council to Award IT Management Services Contract to Infinity Technologies

The City Council is scheduled to approve a contract with Infinity Technologies for comprehensive Information Technology (IT) management and support services at the April 7, 2026, council meeting. This decision follows a recent Request for Proposals (RFP), during which city staff evaluated 17 proposals and determined that Infinity Technologies was the most qualified firm.

The proposed contract will have an annual cost of $2,021,292 for an initial three-year term, beginning July 1, 2026, and concluding on June 30, 2029. The contract includes provisions for two optional one-year extensions.

To ensure continuity during the transition period from the current provider, Glass Box Technology, the City Council is requested to approve a $336,882 budget for a two-month overlap starting May 1, 2026, through June 30, 2026. This will facilitate a smooth transition of IT operations.

The new agreement is expected to generate approximately $1.6 million in annual savings for IT Management Services. Funding will be sourced from the Information Technology budget within the IT Fund (Fund 68) for the upcoming Fiscal Year 2026-27. Transition costs will be covered using existing Information Technology capital project savings and fund balance resources, requiring no additional appropriation.

The current agreement with Glass Box Technology, established in 2020 following a cybersecurity incident, costs approximately $3.6 million annually and does not include IT capital projects, which are managed separately at around $2 million annually. The contract with Glass Box is set to expire on June 30, 2026.

The evaluation process for the RFP included an initial screening that eliminated 11 firms, followed by a panel assessment of the remaining six based on criteria such as experience, technical approach, cybersecurity capabilities, and cost. Infinity Technologies was determined to provide the best overall value and was invited for an in-person interview on February 24, 2026.

The City’s initiatives aim to enhance its IT management capabilities while also achieving significant cost reductions for the taxpayers.
