Students at Pacific Drive Elementary School took center stage in April, delivering a lively production of Seussical the Musical as part of the Fullerton School District’s STAGE program.
Held at the Fullerton High School Little Theater on Friday, April 17, the performances featured colorful costumes, energetic singing and dancing, and professional lighting and direction. The full-scale production brought the spirit of student theater to life for both peers and the broader community.
The musical, based on the works of Dr. Seuss, wove together familiar characters in a story centered on friendship, imagination, and self-expression. Students first performed for their classmates before returning to the stage the following evening for family members and community attendees.
The production was part of STAGE, a district-funded, after-school program that rotated among elementary schools and gave students in grades three through six the opportunity to participate in a complete theatrical production. Under the guidance of a professional theater director, students developed skills in collaboration, creativity, and performance.
District officials said programs like STAGE reflected an ongoing commitment to arts education. Alongside offerings such as Elementary Instrumental Music, the initiative aimed to provide students with opportunities to grow academically, socially, and creatively while building confidence and critical skills beyond the classroom.
