The community is invited to honor mothers and caregivers with a special Mother’s Day Concert in the Park on Saturday, May 9, from 4 to 7 pm at Haster Basin Recreation Area, located at 12862 Lampson Ave. The event promises an afternoon filled with music, activities, and family fun.

Attendees can look forward to live performances from two tribute bands: Anything for Salinas, a Selena tribute band that will perform popular hits from the iconic Queen of Tejano Music, and New Romantics, a Taylor Swift tribute band that will close the evening with the pop star’s most beloved songs.

“We’re excited to invite residents to our first-ever County concert here in Garden Grove, bringing the celebration right into the neighborhood,” said Supervisor Vicente Sarmiento of the Orange County Board of Supervisors. “We wanted to celebrate Mother’s Day in a meaningful way, so we’ve lined up two special tribute bands for a fun, family-friendly community event.”

In addition to the live music, families can enjoy children’s activities and explore a variety of community vendors. Food trucks will also be onsite, offering tasty treats for purchase.

Admission to the concert is free and open to visitors of all ages. Pets are welcome, but must be leashed at all times with a leash no longer than 6 feet. To ensure convenience, free parking will be available at the nearby Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, with additional parking and shuttle services provided at Lampson Elementary School and CalOptima Health at no cost. Early arrival is encouraged to secure a good spot on the lawn.
