Orange County Older Adults Advisory Commission to Hold Meeting on May 8, 2026

The Orange County Older Adults Advisory Commission (OAAC) will convene for a critical meeting on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 9:30 am. The meeting will take place in the Main Conference Room at the County Operations Data Center, located at 1400 S. Grand Ave., Santa Ana, CA 92705.

The agenda for the meeting includes important presentations and discussions pertinent to senior citizens in Orange County. Key presentations will feature updates on the OC CARES Master Plan for Aging, led by Liz Guillen-Merchant, Assistant Deputy Chief Operating Officer, and Chrislyn Nefas-Ferencz, Data Analytics Senior Manager from the County of Orange, Chief Executive Office.

In addition to the presentations, the meeting will cover several discussion items, including updates from the OAAC Matrix Ad-Hoc Committee, the Housing Security Ad-Hoc Committee, and the California Senior Legislature.

Claudia Harris, Director of Strategic Initiatives for Aging Services, will also provide updates from the OC Office on Aging, further emphasizing the Commission’s commitment to addressing the needs of older adults in the community.

The OAAC plays a crucial role in advising the Orange County Board of Supervisors and the Office on Aging on issues affecting senior citizens. The Executive Committee includes:

– Past Chair: Crystal Miles
– Members-at-Large: Sandy Stang, William Wong, and Amina Sen-Matthews
The commission is made up of 40 dedicated volunteer citizens.
