Fullerton Airport Celebrates Rich History with Annual Airport Day 2026

The City of Fullerton enthusiastically invites the community to the highly anticipated Airport Day, set to take place on Saturday, June 6, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. This free event honors the airport’s storied history since its inception in 1928 and serves as a celebration of aviation’s role in the community.

Airport Day opens the gates of Fullerton Airport to thousands of local visitors, providing a unique opportunity to walk the field and engage with a variety of exhibits. Attendees can look forward to static and interactive displays, model-building activities, and plenty of family-friendly fun. For those seeking a more adventurous experience, food options, airplane rides, and helicopter rides will be available for a fee.

Parking is provided in a secure area just west of the field entrance and the newly renovated administration building, ensuring convenient access for all attendees.

In addition to Airport Day, aviation enthusiasts are reminded of the monthly Antique Aircraft Display Days, returning on the second Sunday of every month. Classic aircraft owners are invited to showcase their planes from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Fullerton Airport. Visitors can enjoy the displays free of charge, with access directed by friendly volunteers to ensure a smooth viewing experience. Aircraft owners wishing to participate are encouraged to arrive by 9:30 am to check in and prepare for display.

The Fullerton Airport stands as a testament to the city’s aviation legacy, and both events promise to be a delightful experience for families and local residents eager to explore the skies. Don’t miss this chance to connect with the past and celebrate the future of flight in Fullerton!
