Hundreds of demonstrators gathered Sunday at the intersection of Imperial Highway and Beach Boulevard in La Habra as part of the nationwide “No Kings” movement, a series of protests opposing what organizers describe as authoritarianism, abuses of executive power, and threats to democratic institutions.
The rally took place from 10 am to noon on June 14, 2026, and was organized by local volunteers in coordination with the broader No Kings network, which held events across Orange County, California, and the nation.
Participants carried signs, waved American flags, and voiced concerns over issues including immigration policy, civil rights, government accountability, and the concentration of political power. Organizers said the demonstrations were intended to affirm democratic values and the principle that no elected official is above the law.
The La Habra gathering was one of dozens of No Kings events scheduled throughout Southern California on June 14, joining a nationwide day of protest that coincided with celebrations surrounding President Donald Trump’s birthday and other national events.
Organizers described the event as a largely peaceful demonstration focused on civic engagement and democratic participation.
