In an effort to equip families with essential skills for navigating unforeseen disasters, the Fullerton Fire Department, Fullerton Police Department, and Emergency Management are teaming up with Prepare OC for a family-friendly event focused on emergency preparedness. Set to take place on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, the event promises an engaging day filled with practical learning opportunities.

Participants will gain valuable knowledge on a wide range of topics, including how to create a family communication plan, safely shut off utilities, and conduct hands-on fire extinguisher drills. Attendees will also learn vital communication skills for effectively interacting with 9-1-1 dispatchers, as well as tips for building a comprehensive family emergency kit.
