The city embraced its community spirit with the 13th Annual Fullerton Loves a Parade 4th of July Community Bike Parade. Participants and families gathered at the intersection of Wilshire and Woods at 9:45 am, eager to take part in the festive event.

This year marked a special milestone with the introduction of the inaugural Grand Marshal, local food personality “Pops,” who led the parade as it kicked off at 10:30 am. The event garnered support from the Fullerton Police Department, ensuring a safe environment as the parade wound its way east on Wilshire, crossed Harbor Boulevard, and turned onto Cornell before concluding at the Downtown Plaza adjacent to the Fullerton Museum Center.

Following the parade, festivities continued at Amerige Park, where the first-ever kickball game pitted the East of Harbor (EHA) against West of Harbor (WEHA) in a friendly competition that showcased local camaraderie.

For those unable to participate in the ride, ample viewing spots were available along the parade route, with Ford Park at Richman and Wilshire offering shady grass areas for spectators to enjoy the spectacle.

Organizers emphasized the slow-paced, family-friendly nature of the ride, reminding participants to adhere to safety guidelines, including not speeding through crowds or performing stunts. “This event was a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, and we felt fortunate to continue this tradition,” said one of the organizers.

Assembly Member Sharon Quirk-Silva presented Tim Johnson with a plaque in recognition of the work that went into organizing the parade. The Fullerton Police Department received thanks for their role in managing traffic control, ensuring the safety of both participants and onlookers. Event organizers expressed gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the parade and extended special appreciation to the City of Fullerton for their ongoing support of this beloved community event.
