At the next Fullerton City Council meeting, there will be a public hearing on designating five properties as Local Historic Landmarks. This meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. in the Fullerton City Council Chamber, located at 303 West Commonwealth Avenue.
The proposed landmarks include several key properties: 401 Cannon Lane, 845 North Euclid Street, 545 West Fern Drive, 600 West Valley View Drive, and the “Flight” sculpture at 353 West Commonwealth Avenue. These designations aim to include the sites in the City of Fullerton Local Register of Historical Resources, aligning with Fullerton Municipal Code Section 15.48. In a notable point, the City Council will consider these applications under exemptions from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), indicating that the proposed actions qualify as historical resource restoration or rehabilitation.
Further details about the hearings and the properties involved will be posted on the city’s website 72 hours before the meeting. The agenda will outline how to make public comments during the session. https://fullerton.legistar.com/Calendar.aspx
