On March 25th at 9am at the Fullerton Elks Club, the subject of “The Use And Abuse Of Medical Marijuana” will be presented by Brent Yeung, MD, anesthesiologist and pain management specialist and Clinical Professor of Anesthesiology at UCI School of Medicine. He has a particular interest in the use of medical marijuana in pain management and is actively involved in research in this area.
Because of the change in the law in the state of California and the controversy involved in the management of pain with cannabis-containing medications, we are fortunate to have access to one of the foremost academic physician leaders in this area to help us to understand this new development in medicine.
The general public is invited and are urged to bring members of their family in an effort to use advanced medical information in the understanding this very cogent subject. The session is sponsored by OLLI.
OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute), an organization of retired and semiretired folks affiliated with Cal State Fullerton, presents a weekly medical information program. The organization has about 1700 members and the medical program is also open to the public. There is no charge and the parking is convenient and free. The medical program is held on alternate weeks at the Fullerton Elks Club and Morningside Retirement Community.
The purpose of the program is to enable patients to be better informed about medical problems of aging, and to enable them to be more involved in shared decision making with their physicians.
