The latest exhibit at the Fullerton College Art Gallery features artworks addressing the presence of people of color in contemporary culture. The public is invited to an opening reception on Thursday October 24 5-8pm.
“Presence” explores aspects of the word, including “a person or thing that exists or is present in a place but is not seen”, “a group of people stationed in a particular place”, as well as “a noteworthy quality of poise and effectiveness”.
Co-curated by collector Dee Kerrison and gallery director Carol Henke, Presence will share the work of artists of color including Gabriella Sanchez, Calida Garcia Rawles, Patrick Martinez, Diedrick Brackens and more.
