The City of Fullerton is set to engage residents in shaping its solid waste and recycling future through two upcoming community meetings. These sessions will provide an opportunity for attendees to learn about the forthcoming waste and recycling contract and meet representatives from the three firms vying for the service contract.
The first meeting will take place on Thursday, July 23, at the Fullerton Community Center, located at 340 W. Commonwealth Ave., from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. This session will follow an open-house format, welcoming residents to drop in at any point during the designated time.
The second meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 28, at the Hunt Branch Library, 201 S. Basque Ave., also from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Similar to the first, this meeting will follow an open-house format, allowing for flexible attendance.
Both meetings will feature representatives from the three prospective haulers: Republic Services, CR&R Environmental Services, and Valley Vista Services. Attendees will have the chance to ask questions, engage in discussions with staff, and gather promotional materials from each firm.
City staff will also be present to collect questions and comments, offer additional information, and interact with attendees. The City emphasizes that community participation is crucial in shaping the future of solid waste and recycling services in Fullerton.
Residents are encouraged to attend and contribute their voices to this important conversation, helping to influence sustainable waste management practices in their community.
