Public Hearing Scheduled for New Restaurant at 1925 West Malvern Avenue

The City of Fullerton’s Community and Economic Development Department is set to hold a public hearing regarding an Administrative Restaurant Use Permit for a proposed restaurant located at 1925 West Malvern Avenue. The virtual meeting will take place on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 5:00 pm, allowing residents to participate remotely via computer, smart device, or telephone.

The project seeks approval for a bona fide public eating establishment that will serve beer and wine under a Type 41 On-Sale Beer and Wine ABC License. It is situated within the Amerige Heights Specific Plan area, which outlines specific zoning regulations for this neighborhood.

Residents are encouraged to engage with the process by asking questions or providing comments before the hearing. Interested individuals can find project details and comment instructions on the City’s website at http://www.cityoffullerton.com/zoning administrator meetings, accessible 72 hours prior to the meeting.

For any queries or to submit comments in advance, David Lopez from the Community and Economic Development Department can be reached at (714) 738-6878 or via email at David.Lopez@cityoffullerton.com. All advance comments will be submitted to the Zoning Administrator for consideration.

This proposal is categorized as exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), specifically under Section 15301, Class 1, which pertains to existing facilities. The final decision from the Zoning Administrator may only be appealed if concerns were raised during the public hearing or communicated in writing prior to the meeting.

For Spanish-speaking residents, assistance is available by contacting David Lopez at the aforementioned phone number.

The agenda and supporting materials can be provided in alternative formats for individuals with disabilities upon request. Anyone needing special accommodations should contact Chris Schaefer at Chris.Schaefer@cityoffullerton.com or (714) 738-6884 at least 48 hours before the meeting.

This public hearing presents an opportunity for community members to express their views on a development that could impact the neighborhood.
